Oradell, NJ, October 25, 2009

Only 1 Weekend!!  The Bergen County Players (BCP) present By The Sea, By The Sea, By The Beautiful Sea directed by Frank Osmers.  Performances will be November 7th at 2pm & November 8th at 7pm at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell.  Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at www.bcplayers.org, by calling 201-261-4200 or by visiting the box office at 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell during regular box office hours.

Much like another of our productions this season, a single New York location (a stretch of beach on Long Island) is the locale for three short one-act plays, this time taking place over the course of a single day. Dawn is by Joe Pintauro (a Long Island native), followed by Day by Lanford Wilson (The Hot L Baltimore, Talley’s Folly) and then Dusk by Terrence McNally (Master Class, The Full Monty).

Director, Frank Osmers of South Hackensack, has been a BCP member since 1974.  He has worked both on and off stage in such capacities as vice president, director and actor.  Frank’s directorial skills can be seen by his work on the comedies Line, Run For Your Wife and Paula Vogel’s How I Learned to Drive.  As an actor, various roles include Teddy in When You Comin’ Back Red Ryder?, Lee in Sam Shepard’s True West and Robert in Proof.   He was also heard as the voice of Lamont Cranston in BCP's 2004 radio production of The Shadow.

The intimate cast of characters are portrayed by Elaine Dorkhom (Ridgewood), EJ Keitel (Dumont), Tim Larsen (Glen Rock), Sharon Podsada (Emerson), Meg Renton (Ringwood), Michael Spadaccini (Old Tappan), Larissa Symbouras (Wood Ridge), Megan Taylor (Maywood) and Jordan Zaretsky (South Amboy).

The Bergen County Players, Inc., is a non-Equity, non-profit community theatre company dedicated to presenting quality productions for the enrichment of the community.
