The Bergen County Players (BCP) close their
2009-2010 season with the hilariously dark comedy,
Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You, written by Christopher Durang.
Under the direction of Carol Fisher,
Sister Mary will be performed
at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell on May 15th at 2pm
and May 16th at 7pm.

at 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell during regular box office hours.
Sister Mary, played by Paula O’Brien of Park Ridge, is a nun who
is parochial in every sense of the word, educates, indoctrinates, and
inculcates in this hilariously dark comedy that could only come from the
pen of the bitingly funny Christopher Durang (Beyond Therapy, The
Marriage of Bette and Boo). While giving a lecture to her current
student, Thomas (Adam Feldman of New City, NY) she is visited by her
former students Gary, (David Monti of Lodi), Aloyisus (Will Nolan),
Diane (Julia Heaney of Ridgefield) and Philomena (Vanessa Pellecchia of
Poughkeepsie, NY) who describe the lasting psychological trauma she has
inflicted upon them. Dark laughs
ensue as the stories unfold right in front of you.
Contains mature language/content.
Director Carol Fisher of Teaneck was last seen on the BCP stage as
Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's
Nest and Follies in Concert. Other
stage appearances include The Lion in Winter at Players Guild of
Leonia, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas at Antrim and multiple
roles (Book of Days, Company, Sordid Lives, The World Goes ‘Round)
with The Players Theatre Company. Her directing credits include The
Trip to Bountiful (nominated for 3 Perry Awards), You’re A Good
Man Charlie Brown, and I Never Saw Another Butterfly.
