Playwright Anthony Shaffer is no stranger to the comic mystery-thriller genre, as proven by his 1971 Tony Award-winning Sleuth. In this amusingly clever play, reality and illusion run rings around truth and fiction in which no one is who he or she seems to be. Makeup, wigs, and phony accents are employed with quick-change artistry as the mystery of who did what to whom spirals deeper and deeper.
