Both the First Helper and Second Helper are character juveniles. They should be boyish, energetic and comical, and have good dancing ability. They work as a team assisting the Fairy Godmother.

Fairy Godmother
Cinderella's magical helper. Zany, lovable, and focused on helping those in need. She sets the comedic pace.

A former rich girl who is forced to become a servant for her family. She eventually finds her savior in the Prince. Young and beautiful with an ethereal quality.

Stepmother
An older woman with a dominating quality. Indulgent and sweet to her own daughters, but extremely cruel to Cinderella because of her jealousy. Schemes to marry her daughters off to the Prince.

The elder, more aggressive and dominating of the stepsisters. Like her mother, she is somewhat farcical and goofy. Spoiled by her mother and nasty to Cinderella.

The younger of Cinderella's stepsisters. She is the opposite of her sister, Henrietta, and is constantly jealous of her. Spoiled by her mother and usually nasty to Cinderella.

A whimsical, near-sighted, lovable monarch. Always confused as to where he is and who he is talking to. He is determined to find a suitable wife for his son.

The handsome stereotypical hero, set on marrying someone for love rather than strategic alliance. Always patient and amused with his father's near-sightedness. His movement possesses both courtly elegance and boyish charm.

In addition to the roles above, there will be a small ensemble of 4-8 people, who will double in minor roles. 

The Prince Street Players version of this timeless classic starts with a Fairy Godmother asking her two helpers to identify the neediest person in the kingdom. They introduce her to Ella, and with magic wand in hand, Godmother throws in a dash of belief, a sprinkle of magic and a pinch of true love. Voila! Cinderella has her life changed for good in this frothy, fast-paced musical, specifically created for young audiences.

All who attend auditions will be asked to prepare 32 bars of a song from musical theatre. Please bring sheet music in the correct key for the accompanist and be prepared to move.
