Michael
served BCP as a board member and as 2nd vice president.
New York credits include Matthew in “The Last Supper” under the
direction of Tony Award® nominated composer Gary Friedman (“The Me
Nobody Knows”) at the Theater at St. Luke's; Publius in “Julius Caesar,”
a role for which he won an Off-Off Broadway Review (OOBR) Award; the 1st
Murderer in “Richard III” during his first appearance at The Midtown
International Theater Festival.
Michael also created the stage role of Papa in Sadie Penzato's “Growing
Up Sicilian & Female” (winning praise from ComUnico, a national Italian
American magazine). He was also featured at CAMI Hall in “Arias &
Sonnets,” a production of Genesis Repertory.
A distinguished member of the regional theater circuit, Michael has
appeared in productions of “Oliver,” “Forum,” “Guys & Dolls,”
“California Suite,” “Plaza Suite,” “Little Mary Sunshine,” “City of
Angels” and “Miracle on 34th St.,” a role winning him an Old Library
Theatre Group Award Nomination for Best Featured Actor in the musical
category. Michael has also appeared in the world premier of Tony Award®
winning playwright, Rupert Holmes' (“…Edwin Drood”) new stage thriller,
“Thumbs.”
Television audiences know Michael from appearances on NBC’s “Law &
Order,” and “Law & Order: SVU,” and HBO’s “Sex in the City” and “The
Sopranos,” as well as Jill Clayburgh's latest film, “Never Again.” His
latest television credits include multiple appearances on ABCs daytime
drama, “All My Children.”
Michael recently appeared as the evil Lucifer in the off-Broadway
production of “Faustus” (a role which won him praise from The New York
Times and others), as well as stage productions and readings of “War of
the Worlds” at the New York Freight Festival and “Vintage” at the
American Playwrights Theatre.
Michael is a member of Actors Equity (AEA), the American Federation of
Television & Radio Artists (AFTRA) and the Guild of Italian American
Actors (GIAA).
