The Women
marks Jason’s third BCP production during this 75th
Anniversary Year. He previously appeared as Capt. Orton in The
King and I and was the lighting operator for Lend Me a Tenor.
Jason is a retired
psychotherapist who joined BCP in 2001. He has appeared in ten BCP
productions including Hansel & Gretel and You Can’t Take it With
You, and in seven other area productions, most recently as the
Announcer/Narrator in the radio production of The Great Gildersleeve
, a joint production of WFDU-FM and Teaneck New Theater.
Jason has worked
backstage as both a sound and lighting operator, a props master, and
in set construction and décor on more than two dozen BCP
productions.
Jason began his
work in the entertainment field at age 11, acting in radio. Until
1975 he worked as an actor/performer and entertainer in radio, TV,
movies and the theater. He attended Carnegie Mellon University as an
acting major and holds a degree in Theater from Ramapo College.
He is married to
Marjy Lewis who appears as Lucy/ First Sales Lady in The Women.
