Marjory has
appeared on the BCP stage in The Women, Lend Me A Tenor, Summer
Brave, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Wizard of Oz, and (along with
her husband, Jason) The Story of Hansel and Gretel and You
Can’t Take it With You.
Backstage at BCP,
she has stage managed for The Mousetrap, worked on props for
Book of Days and Cinderella, sewed costumes for The
Merry Wives of Windsor, run lights for the radio show It
Happened One Night and Cinderella, and written publicity
for The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, Follies and
Moonlight and Magnolias.
Marjy has
chaired the Publicity Committee and served with her husband as
co-chair of the Buddy System at BCP, but currently is in charge
of maintaining the building usage calendar along with assistant,
Jeff Pieper.
A former
Broadway singer and dancer who appeared in Minnie’s Boys
and Lovely Ladies, Kind Gentlemen, she has performed lead
roles, directed and choreographed for the Ridgewood Gilbert &
Sullivan Opera Co., as well as having directed for the Radburn
Players and choreographed musicals at Ramsey High School. Marjy
recently wrote a thesis on slavery in New Jersey to complete a
Master of Arts in Liberal Studies degree earned at Ramapo
College of New Jersey.
